Editorial Policy
The editorial board of Professional Art Education follows these principles:
- scholarly rigour, objectivity, professionalism and transparency of editorial decisions;
- impartial treatment of all authors regardless of their status, institution or country;
- double-blind peer review by competent independent reviewers (see Review Process);
- advisory support to authors on the content and presentation of articles in line with international standards of scholarly publishing.
The journal charges authors no fees and pays no royalties (see Payment).
The decision to publish or reject a manuscript is made by the Editor-in-Chief (or, on his behalf, by a member of the editorial board) on the basis of peer review, in accordance with the Review Process, Review of Submissions and Submission Requirements.
The editors may make editorial and proofreading changes, agreeing the final text with the author, and may reject manuscripts that are outside the journal’s scope or do not meet the requirements, while observing publication ethics. Manuscripts rejected at the initial screening are not sent for peer review.
Published articles may be shared and reused under the license stated on the article page (see Type of Licensing), with mandatory reference to the original publication in the journal.
Authors are responsible for the content of their articles, the accuracy of facts and data, the validity of conclusions and respect for third-party copyright. The opinions of the authors do not necessarily reflect those of the editorial board.
After acceptance, authors send the author agreement and the author information form (including ORCID iD).
Articles are published in order of acceptance under the Online First policy: as soon as editorial processing is complete, the article appears on the website with a DOI and is later included in a regular issue (two issues per year).
Each issue is recommended for publication by the Academic Council of H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University. Print copies are sent to authors on request.
Conflicts of interest, complaints and appeals are governed by Obligations of the Process Participants and the Complaints Review Procedure.
