Open access
Professional Art Education is a diamond open access journal. All articles are freely available immediately upon publication, with no registration and no embargo. Readers may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search and link to the full texts of the articles. The journal charges no fees to authors or readers (see Payment).
The journal follows the definition of open access of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI).
Licenses
Since 2026 (Vol. 7), articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Earlier articles remain under the license with which they were published: 2020 – Vol. 4, No. 1 (2023) — CC BY-NC-SA 4.0; Vol. 4, No. 2 (2023) – 2025 — CC BY-NC 4.0. The license of each article is stated on its page and in its DOI metadata. See Type of Licensing and Copyright.
Self-archiving
Authors may deposit any version of their article (submitted, accepted or published) in institutional and subject repositories, on personal websites and in academic networks without embargo, citing the publication in the journal and its DOI.
Archiving
- full texts of all issues are available on the journal website in the Archive;
- articles are deposited in the institutional repository of H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University (DSpace);
- the electronic and print versions of the journal are deposited with the V.I. Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine;
- published issues are preserved in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN);
- article metadata and DOIs are registered with Crossref; metadata are available via OAI-PMH.
