Copyright License Type
Since 2026 (Vol. 7), the journal has operated under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
Articles published earlier remain under the license with which they were published. The license of each article is stated on its page and in its DOI metadata:
- articles of 2020–2022 and Vol. 4, No. 1 (2023): CC BY-NC-SA 4.0;
- articles from Vol. 4, No. 2 (2023) through 2025: CC BY-NC 4.0;
- articles from 2026 (Vol. 7) onwards: CC BY 4.0.
Authors retain full copyright in their work and grant the journal a non-exclusive right of first publication. No economic rights are transferred to the journal. See the Copyright page for details.
Under CC BY 4.0 you are free to:
- Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format for any purpose, even commercially.
- Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially.
- The licensor cannot revoke these freedoms as long as you follow the license terms.
Under the following terms:
- Attribution — You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.
- No additional restrictions — You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits.
For articles published under CC BY-NC 4.0 or CC BY-NC-SA 4.0, the terms of those licenses apply: non-commercial use only, and for CC BY-NC-SA, derivative works must be distributed under the same terms.
