Abstract

The purpose of the study: to analyze the role of generative artificial intelligence in modern web design.

Methods: the study is based on theoretical methods, specifically the analysis, synthesis, comparison, and generalization of scientific sources and works on UX design. No specific empirical methods were employed, as the study is theoretical in nature.

Scientific novelty: the role of algorithms in supporting idea generation, the creation of graphic assets, page structure development, prototyping, and the conversion of layouts into code is examined. Particular attention is paid to the limitations of automation.

Results: based on research into UX design, human-AI interaction, and interface code generation, a collaborative model is proposed in which the system performs variable and repetitive operations, while the designer defines tasks, reviews results, and is responsible for final decisions.

Conclusions: the study highlights that the rapid creation of site variants does not guarantee the quality of the user experience, accessibility, technical correctness or compliance with the visual identity of the brand. The greatest practical value of artificial intelligence lies not in the autonomous creation of a ready-made site, but in the acceleration of individual design stages under the condition of constant human control.
